Securing the Space

In order to hold the space, the hotel requires a non-refundable deposit of 10% or at least $125.00 within one week of signing the agreement.  A credit card authorization form must also be on file, although the group can choose to pay with whatever method they choose.  The final amount is due seven (7) days prior to the start date.  Functions can be cancelled without penalty and deposits returned usually within 60 days of the function date, although this may vary depending upon the time of the year.  Events may be changed to different dates and the deposit transferred if the hotel can accommodate the change.  Any changes in the details has to be approved by the hotel in writing.  Usually changes that result in more than a 10% drop in total function cost will result in a new contract.  For more details, please contact the Catering Department at 781-935-8160.

Banquet Room Use

The times available for the group to use the rooms will be stipulated on the contract, including time to setup and break down.  The room configuration and set-up needs should be finalized with the Catering Department to minimize last-minute changes, which may incur additional setup fees.  All outside items brought into the room, including decorations, must be approved by the Catering Department prior to the function.  No items that cause mess or damage the walls will be allowed, for example confetti,glitter, birdseed, wall tacks, staples, etc.  No candles or other flames are allowed.  The hotel recommends electric tea lights, which can be provided. 

Food and Drink

The hotel will provide Catering Menus and work with functions for providing food and beverage, including bar services.  The hotel does not allow food or beverage to be brought in or out of the hotel.  Specialty cakes may be brought in once approved by the Catering Department.  All functions with food and/or beverage has a 20% service fee applied.  Functions can have either cash or open bars, either with dollar limits or tickets.  Bartender fees are $150 for each function, with a maximum 4 hours service.  Please contact us for further information.
